Emissions Reduction Through Continuous Monitoring and Artificial Intelligence
Solution Developer
Qube Technologies
Project Description
Qube Technologies uses a low-cost Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and fixed sensors to continuously monitor and measure environmental conditions, methane, and other gases. It is the only technology currently being developed that provides low-cost continuous measurement of both gas concentrations and environmental data.
All environmental and gas concentration data is measured on the IIoT device and then sent to a cloud-based platform via cellular network where the data is recorded and analyzed. Qube uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to locate where gas leaks may be occurring, quantify the size of the leaks, and classify whether the leaks are vented or fugitive emissions.
All analyzed data is sent to a user-friendly web-based dashboard that aggregates critical insights generated by the analytics platform, allowing operators to take remediation actions, repair leaks in real-time, and verify that leaks have been properly repaired.
The three components of Qube’s solution function together to provide customers with an end-to-end solution for greenhouse gas (GHG) monitoring. As GHG reduction targets and leak detection and repair (LDAR) requirements become more stringent and regulated, and companies seek to improve their ESG standards and reporting, Qube’s solution addresses these problems using a digital approach that improves transparency and accuracy of baseline emissions data.
