CRIN Member Profile: Student Energy

Student Energy is a Canadian-based, global youth-led organization empowering the next generation of leaders who are accelerating the transition to a sustainable, equitable energy future. We work with a network of 50,000 young people from over 120 countries to build the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to take action on energy. Student Energy collaborates with governments, companies, and organizations to facilitate meaningful youth engagement and mobilize resources to support youth-led energy solutions.

Our work with CRIN

Student Energy works as part of CRIN to build the network of young people engaged in energy and cleantech innovation across Canada and around the world. Student Energy sits on the CRIN Steering Committee advising on meaningful youth engagement on energy.

CRIN has been a critical enabler of Student Energy’s work in 2020, supporting the knowledge and skill-building of young energy leaders in Canada through Student Energy Chapters and the Student Energy Leaders Fellowship, which allowed us to open four new Student Energy Chapters in British Columbia, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Quebec, and to support 15 teams of 50 youth to lead community-level energy projects.

“Student Energy is excited to be part of CRIN. We’re learning from the network of energy leaders shaping the future of Canada’s energy sector while we work to build the ecosystem of future innovators and the international connections that will serve CRIN well into the future.” – Meredith Adler, Executive Director, Student Energy
