Collaboration through COSIA: A brief introduction to land and biodiversity

This virtual event hosted by COSIA (Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance) explained COSIA’s Land Environmental Priority Area and how the oil sands collaborate on reclamation, restoration and biodiversity.

Jack O’Neill, Land Director at COSIA, the innovation arm of Pathways Alliance, gave background information about restoration project examples such as caribou conservation and reclamation work like the COSIA Vegetation Research Committee. He also described a program studying wildlife use of reclaimed habitats and several projects tracking and modelling habitat use for specific species.
